- Will the JPG file be smaller?
- It depends on the original. WebP compresses more efficiently than JPG, so the JPG can be larger at high quality settings. The size before and after is shown next to each file; lower the quality if it is too big.
- Is transparency kept?
- No. JPG does not support transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Choose PNG or WebP if you need to keep it.
