How to split a PDF
- Drop a PDF into the box above, or click it to choose one. A preview of every page appears.
- Tick the pages you want, or type them in the Pages box (for example 1-3, 5) and press Select. Typed pages are saved in the order you type them.
- Choose “Extract selected pages” for one new PDF, or “Each selected page as its own PDF” to get separate files in a zip.
Good to know
- In the Pages box, “8-” means page 8 to the end and “-3” means pages 1 to 3.
- You can rotate pages with ⟳ before saving; the rotation is kept in the result.
- Your original PDF is not changed; the result is saved as a new file.
How it works
Extracting vs. printing to PDF
Printing selected pages to a new PDF redraws them, which can drop links, change fonts or turn text into images. Extracting copies the original pages instead, so the result is identical to the source, only shorter.
PDF (Portable Document Format) looks the same on every device and printer, which is why it is the standard for documents, forms and scans. A PDF can hold text, vector graphics and images, and several pages in one file.

- Yes. Click Select all, then “Each selected page as its own PDF”. You get one PDF per page, packed in a zip file.
- Will the extracted pages look different?
- No. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.
- Can I use password-protected PDFs?
- Not yet. Open the file in a PDF reader, save a copy without the password, and add that copy instead.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Everything happens inside your browser, so contracts, statements and private photos stay on your device.
- Is it free? Are there limits?
- It is completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark. How much you can process depends only on your device’s memory.
